Welcome Back to School Assembly for students is in full swing this week. Some of the topics included in the High school assembly included the attendance policy, the amazing programs that Wyandotte offers, the changes coming for Wyandotte, and school spirit. The attendance policy is Each student is required to attend each class a minimum of 90% of the time in order to receive credit for that class. A maximum of 10 days a semester may be missed for excused absences, absence by arrangement, unexcused absences, or truancy in any one class. Any student who exceeds the 10-day limit may appeal to the Board of Education for reinstatement of credit. Consideration will be given as to the reason for the absences as well as to the attempts by parents to minimize the absenteeism.
Some of our school programs involve STUCO, SMAC, Ag, Avavation, and FCCLA these are some of the amazing programs our school offers. Some of the changes coming to Wyandotte include our new wrestling program, a new aviation building and central office, the career tech building that is about to be in progress, and the upcoming bond project some other projects include vo-tech and Oklahoma promise. Wyandotte’s school spirit motto is Be loud, Be proud, BUT ALWAYS SHOW CLASS.
