Today, we proudly celebrate National Principal’s Day, a special occasion to honor the leadership, dedication, and hard work of our exceptional school principals. To show our appreciation, we asked a few of our teachers to share their thoughts about some of our outstanding principals. Here’s what they had to say:
Coach ED on Mr. Robertson:
"Mr. Robertson is a great principal who leads and inspires us and the community. Under Mr. Robertson, teachers feel supported and the students feel safe. I’ve had many principals in my career, and he’s one of those who tops my list of ‘THE BEST’!!!"
Ms. Jones on Ms. Butterfield:
"Ms. Butterfield is our biggest cheerleader. She praises and encourages both students and staff alike. She is welcoming and willing to listen, lend a hand, and provide suggestions and options for problems we encounter. She often ends a conversation with, ‘We can do this!’ We are truly fortunate that she is part of our Wyandotte family."
Mrs. Hannah Young on Mrs. Morisset:
"Dana Morisset is truly one of a kind! She wears so many hats at Wyandotte that often go unnoticed, yet she puts forth 1000% effort in all she does. She leads the high school special education program with integrity and compassion, and teaches five full class loads of higher-level math and aviation. She also works tirelessly writing grants to fund incredible opportunities for our kids through the aviation program. Mrs. Morisset is burning on all cylinders, but she always makes time to connect with her students and bring out the very best in them. She is a visionary, a workhorse, and a woman you want on your team! I am so grateful to get to work alongside her."
Mrs. Baldridge on Ms. McCain:
"Wyandotte is really lucky to have Ms. McCain. You can tell she genuinely cares about the kids and always puts their best interests first. Ms. McCain is a great leader. She consistently listens to and supports our concerns and ideas."
Ms. Posey on Ms. Fritchey:
"Ms. Fritchey is dedicated to her students as well as the teachers who work under her. She is always willing to lend an ear or a helping hand, and if she doesn't know something, she will be sure to find out. She is a great asset to Wyandotte Schools."
Thank you to all of our district principals for your outstanding leadership, unwavering commitment, and the profound impact you have on our students, staff, and school communities. Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. We deeply appreciate all you do to help shape a brighter future for every learner in our district.
