🌎 Wyandotte Environmental Festival 2025 🌱
Wyandotte Elementary and Middle School students are heading outdoors to learn how to protect the world around them at this year’s Environmental Festival! 🎉
Throughout the day, students will explore a variety of hands-on, grade-level activities focused on environmental awareness and conservation. Stations include:
💧 Water Sampling – Learning how scientists test water for pollution and safety
🪱 Macroinvertebrate Studies – Investigating aquatic insects to determine stream health
♻️ Recycling Education – Understanding how small changes in our habits can make a big impact
🌍 NRD & Tar Creek Awareness – Exploring local environmental issues, including the Tar Creek Superfund site, and how Natural Resource Damages (NRD) are being addressed in our area
From Pre-K to 8th grade, our students are getting a closer look at nature, science, and sustainability—while building awareness of the environmental challenges facing our community and world.
Let’s go, Bears! 🐻💚
