🎉🖤Hey Bears! On Tuesday, October 28th. We had a pleasant and exciting assembly from Generation Why, AKA, GNWY! They are a non-profit organization that goes from school to school to encourage good mental health practices!🧠They held a fun and engaging presentation and even held a dance contest!🖤🎉
🖤“You have a purpose!” is what they reminded us. They even shared their own stories as examples of how we each have a purpose in life and that we matter.
Then came the fun and awesome dance contest! We had three girl contestants and three boy contestants!
Then they encouraged “the coolest teachers around” to join the competition, and everyone chose Mrs. Henderson and Mr. Antwon!
Everyone did a fantastic job, but overall, the boys had won!👏 GNWY even made a painting for the school to remind students, “You have a purpose,” whenever they walk by it! Here is GNWY’s website to find their social media and more information about them!🖤
