Our Aviation Course IV pilot students had an incredible educational trip to Miami Regional Airport, where they sat in on two major board meetings and got a behind-the-scenes look at real airport operations.
📌 Branding & Terminal Development Meeting
Students met with board members and airport staff to learn about upcoming branding and logo plans for the airport and its new terminal. They also heard inspiring stories about the airport’s history and received valuable advice as future pilots.
📌 Taxiway Infrastructure Meeting
Next, students joined the engineering team to dive into the proposed taxiway changes and the complex planning behind them.
🚦 Runway Tour & Technical Deep Dive
Right after the meeting, engineering staff led students onto the runway to explore:
• Runway lighting systems
• AWOS weather technology
• Fueling operations
• Electrical and safety considerations
Our students walked away with a whole new appreciation for airport operations—from the boardroom to the runway. 🌟
