🧠On February 4th, the Wyandotte Academic Team hosted not one, but two academic tournaments in a single day, showcasing both talent and depth across grade levels.
The day began with FROSHMORE, a tournament for 9th and 10th grade students, featuring separate competitions in Science and Humanities.
🎉Wyandotte delivered an outstanding performance, earning 2nd place in both divisions. This marks the first time in school history that Wyandotte has placed second in two different academic areas at the same FROSHMORE meet, a significant milestone for the program.
Later that afternoon, Wyandotte hosted the 8/9 District Academic Meet. While the final standings were not cause for celebration, the performance deserves recognition.
Wyandotte competed with an exceptionally young team playing above their grade level, consisting of one fifth grader, two seventh graders, and one freshman.
The experience gained in this high-level competition will be invaluable as these students continue to grow within the program.
Overall, February 4th highlighted both the current success and the promising future of Wyandotte Academic Team.🧠💡
