Wyandotte Public Schools is proud to welcome Todd Dixon as the new Principal of Wyandotte Middle School! 🏫✨
Mr. Dixon brings a diverse and accomplished background in education, with experience spanning multiple states and roles. Originally from upstate New York 🍎, he began his career after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Education from Appalachian State University in 2000 🎓. His teaching journey has taken him through Boone, North Carolina; Afton, Wyoming; Grand Junction and Aurora, Colorado; and into Oklahoma, where he has made a lasting impact in several districts. 🌎
In Oklahoma, Mr. Dixon served as a Biology teacher 🧬 and Head Girls Basketball Coach 🏀 in Inola before continuing in the same roles at Skiatook. Since 2018, he has been a key leader in Inola Public Schools as the District STEM Facilitator and administrator 🔬💡. During that time, he has also served as an assistant basketball coach, head golf coach ⛳, and grant writer. His leadership has been instrumental in developing STEM curriculum and expanding opportunities for students and teachers alike, including facilitating STEM I and II courses at the high school level and integrating innovative, hands-on learning experiences into everyday classroom instruction. 🚀
Mr. Dixon recently completed his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University 🎓, further strengthening his commitment to effective school leadership.
Known for his heart for students ❤️ and passion for high-quality instruction, Mr. Dixon brings creativity, energy ⚡, and a student-centered mindset to his work. His enthusiasm for education is contagious, and he is dedicated to fostering an environment where both students and teachers can thrive. 🌟
Mr. Dixon also has meaningful ties to the Wyandotte community through his wife, Kelly Dixon, a graduate of Wyandotte Public Schools 🤝. He is excited to build relationships and become an active part of the community.
