The art department recently competed in the Eastern Shawnee Tribe Earth Day poster contest 🌎🎨. Each student submitted a poster that they created on Canva 🖥️. The ESTOO print shop printed all of the posters for display 🖨️ and each person that attended the Earth Day event was able to vote on their favorite design 🗳️. Traylen Robitaille was the overall winner 🥇 while Conner Bruner, Aleigha Sullivan and Erik Luna all tied for second and third places 🥈🥉. Each winner received a $50 gift card 💳, their printed work 🖼️ and a spot in the Shooting Star tribal newsletter ⭐📰!
Here is the email from Debbie Dodson about the Event 📧:
The posters were displayed with only a corresponding number 🔢, and every adult who attended our Earth Day event voted with one ticket a piece 🎟️, so we had close to 100 voters 👥. We were going to just take the top three but after first place there was a three-way tie 🤝. SO, four winners 🙂🏆.
We had so many great comments and compliments on the posters 💬👏, so thank you for helping to make our event better 🙌. We had other art related activities this year 🎭 so it all went together perfectly ✨.
I did have to take things down early ⏰ as there is another event booked for the same building 🏫, but I took several photos 📸 and the matted copies will be returned to the students. I can come as soon as tomorrow once I get their gift card selection 🎁.
Winners will be sent to our Shooting Star tribal newsletter ⭐📰. I don't know if they will make the May edition 📅 but I will see what I can do. Copies are available on our website 🌐, so I will keep you posted.
Thank you again for your participation! 🙏
