Graduation Commencement services for the Class of 2022 will be Saturday, May 14th at 10 am. We are endeavoring to make sure if at all possible the services will be outside on the football field for a far more enjoyable experience. Based on weather forecasts we are seeing right now, it appears that is the likelihood, but as you know that could change. Plan on graduation being at 10 am on the football field. If it becomes necessary to move it inside to the gym, we will communicate that change.
The diagram above shows the layout of the football field.
The stage will be set up on the western portion of the football field with graduates seated directly in front of the stage in the first four rows.
The section after that is for teachers and staff member seating.
There will be a line across the field after that and the area on the east side of that line is for “Bring Your Own Chair” seating. You can sit as family groups throughout that area of the field but you must bring your own seating arrangements.
There will be plenty of available seating with good visibility and sound on both sides of the bleachers.
The home side of the field has a handicap entrance, ramps, and accessibility.
The school has arranged for a production company out of Joplin to manage the sound so that there will be a high quality no matter where you are seated.
The track area needs to remain clear on both the north and south side of the field, at least on the west side of the line across the field. That area is where the seniors will be entering for their walk-in.
PLEASE DO NOT COME DOWN TO TAKE PICTURES DURING THE CEREMONY AS STUDENTS ARE GETTING THEIR DIPLOMAS. Photographers will be taking pictures as students are handed their diploma and the area to that side of the stage is for teachers to stand and congratulate the students while the graduates are returning to their seats.
Graduation ceremonies will be livestreamed from the school’s Facebook page for those unable to attend.
Graduates are needed for a group picture at 8:45 am in the gymnasium.
Any changes to these plans will be announced via the school’s thrillshare/all call system.
